Inspired by the 18th century Deist movement
Deism was an 18th century movement that emphasized a straightforward, universalist, ethical approach to belief.
Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Paine, Thomas Jefferson, Moses Mendelsohn, George Washington, Frederich Schiller, James Madison, and James Monroe were all Deists.
Neo-Deism is a way to bring ritual and community into modern life.
